Popular Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele has revealed why she accepted to be the Lagos State deputy governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The actress has confirmed that she is the running mate to governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Dr. Olajide Adediran, popularly called Jandor.
Recall that few weeks ago the party had picked Funke Akindele as the running mate to Lagos State governorship candidate, Olajide Adediran, popularly called Jandor.
The actress took to her Instagram page to confirm the new development.
In the video she posted on Tuesday, she revealed her reasons for becoming a running mate.
“I saw it as an opportunity to help liberate and improve the wellbeing of our people, particularly the deprived youth, women and the girl child.
“My decision is not just to accept this huge responsibility but to also work tirelessly and complement Jandor’s burning desire to see our dear Lagos live up to its full potential, “

Meanwhile, she omitted her estranged husband’s name, Bello, in the video.
The development is coming two weeks after her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz, announced that their marriage has crashed.
