The Presidential candidate of Labor Party, Mr. Peter Obi, has separated himself from an image of a Muslim prayer mat with his embossed representation which started moving via social media on Friday.
Albeit the origin of the image of the praying mat is as yet being examined, Obi, in a tweet separated himself and his campaign team from it. expressing that he had the outmost regard for Islam and Muslims and to be sure any remaining religions and wouldn’t under any pretense criticize any.
Obi, by means of his twitter handle, said, “The inclusion of my picture on the praying mat was misguided even with the best of intentions. It did not emanate from my campaign team. I have deep respect for the Muslim faith and indeed for every other religion.
