The album, The Lion King: The Gift, featured other Nigerian singers like Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi and Yemi Alade.
The hit song from the album was black Skin Girl, which features her daughter Blue Ivy and Wizkid.
Beyonce, said she wanted a collection of songs from different genres that express what she was trying to pass across.
She said, “This is a sonic cinema, a new experience of storytelling and I wanted to do more than find a collection of songs that were inspired by the film.
It is a mixture of genres and collaboration that isn’t one sound. It is influenced by everything from R&B, pop, hip hop and Afro-Beat. I wanted to put everyone on their own journey to link the storyline.
