The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued the Certificate of Return to the Osun State govenor elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke on Wednesday.
The certificate presentation to Adeleke by the INEC National Commissioner, Supervising Osun, Ogun and Oyo states, Prof. Kunle Ajayi, was preceded by the presentation to the deputy governor-elect, Prince Kola Adewusi.
In his acceptance speech after receiving the certificate at a brief ceremony held at Osun INEC headoffice in Osogbo, Adeleke dedicated his victory at the poll to the memory of his late elder brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke and the people of Osun state.
While congratulating his uncle after receiving Certificate of Return from the INEC, Davido used the opportunity to apologize to the commission over what he said earlier.
Recall that earlier, the singer had called out INEC for failing to give his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke the certificate 48 hours after winning the election.
Davido tweeted; “You do well @inecnigeria no vex for yesterday.”
