Controversial Nigerian street singer, Habeeb Okikiola better known as Portable has revealed that nobody helped him to be popular in the Nigeria music industry.
Portable disclosed this during an interview on the the podcast “Echoo Room” hosted by Quincy Jonze contradicting the popular opinion that Olamide and Pocolee helped him.
Recall that Portable rose to the prominence in December 2021 following the release of his hit song, “Zazoo Zeh” featuring Olamide and Portable.
Portable however while on the podcast claimed that nobody linked him to anyone rather everybody messaged him as he noted that he was already popular before he met Pocolee and Olamide.
The Azaman crooner also said he is not from grass to grace instead he is a child of grace.
Portable further added that he doesn’t know the inspiration behind “Zazoo Zeh” then he further uttered that it’s from God as he is the one that bestowed his grace on him.
Narrating his ordeal so far in the music industry, Portable said most of the men he has worked with most especially his previous managers were wicked ones and further admitted that he used women as a bait to test them.
Portable says when he found out that he is loosing his sweat to people, he decided to use his girlfriend as his manager because she is much closer to him and smart as well believing that she is better person to save him.
Speaking about his personality, Portable said he is the kind of person that spends his money irrespective of the person he associates, so in case he is broke, he will come to the same person he has spent for earlier for assistance.
He also recounted the times he used to spend 4-5 million per day while with his former managers concluding that they made him spend lavishly by taking him only to ceremonial places.
